Hi, my name is Scott!

I earned my Master’s in Social work from Western Michigan University in April 2006. My post graduate experience has been in behavioral health and I have been practicing as a therapist since having obtained my Master’s degree.

I specialize in working with kids, adolescents,
teens, and young adults, and adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, school related issues, behavioral concerns, learning to regulate emotions, and family issues.

In therapy, I tend to use aspects from many different methods such as Person-Centered therapy, motivational interviewing, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), and strengths-based therapy. My therapy style is relaxed, warm, friendly, and outgoing. My strengths as a therapist are my ability to build rapport with clients, helping them to feel comfortable, and using my experience to guide them through their issues.

There are many different reasons to seek therapy, and whatever your reason is, I will work with you on identifying what you hope to achieve during therapy and then working towards that goal. It has been my experience that therapy is most effective when there are clear goals and the therapist and patient work together to achieve these goals. A little about me. I have been married to my wife for over 17 years, we have two boys, and one very loveable English Springer Spaniel.

A little about me. I have two boys, and one very loveable English Springer Spaniel. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, playing sports, watching movies, traveling, building a super awesome Lego city and sometimes playing video games with my boys. I truly enjoy the privilege of being a therapist, and I am so thankful to the many people who have trusted me to work with them throughout my career. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
